I want to delete my windows partition of my internal SSD, but when I open Boot Camp Assistant, the option "Install or remove Windows 7 or later" is grey-ed out, and I cannot choose it.

What can I do without having to resetting my entire mac to factory settings?

You should be able to erase the Windows 7 (Boot Camp partition) by using Disk Utility from Recovery. But it would help us to see exactly what's going on with your SSD if you posted a screen shot from Disk Utility showing the partitions and their relative position on the drive. Usually when the Boot Camp Assistant refuses to remove the Windows partition, there's something else going on. You might wind up having to reinstall OS X so make sure you have a backup.
