Unless I make sure to apply pressure directly to the center of the button, it doesn't respond very accurately. On my iphone 2g I could click on the edge of the button or click anywhere really and it was always responsive. On the new phone I have to make sure that I push down at the center or else I get nothing. A little bit of a hassle when using only one hand and especially hard to get used to coming from the 2g. Are the rest of you experiencing the same?

Mine's fine...as long as i click something in that area it responds

i had that problem on my 3G
theyll swap it out for that. take it to a genius

I appear to have a different problem - oversensitive home button. In my shirt or pants pocket it is constantly activating the sleep/wake function and this is draining my battery. Anybody else with this problem or have a suggestion?

My home button works great...very similar to my 2G home button with a nice feel...but not exactly a click...
edit: well I'll be darned...when I just pushed my home button it did in fact "click"...

I upgraded to the 3GS from the 2G and feel the exact same way... your eally have to make a point to click right on the center if you want to feel the tactile feedback.... not like the 2G where you could click any part of the button.
