You probably fine unless you frequent sketchy sites and download files. It’s more about your online activities then browser security.

no just instragram, youtube, twitch, amazon, netflix, facebook, ticktock.. etc

The more you use it, the higher the risk.
The more you use what exactly? My elder uncle is using Big Sur on his Mac and has never had any security related issues visiting web sites... ever. He only visits known, legitimate sites for his email, banking, social media, news, etc. because he is the most basic of a computer user you will find. He uses Google Chrome at the moment.

I'm in the same boat as you, owning a Macbook that officially cannot go beyond Big Sur. However, I'm using it as my DJ computer that I bring to the nightclub and I don't want to expose newer laptops to that environment for obvious reasons. I'm thinking about OCLP but I'm a bit hesitant for that particular machine... but that's a question for another time.

I'd say, you're reasonably safe as long as you're using an up-to-date browser. I also get the feeling that the browser will become obsolete and won't support the newer Web standards sooner than it becomes too risky to use.

I'm noticing that Safari 16 (the latest version supported on Big Sur) is showing its age. It's not noticeable at first; it's the little things. For example, it won't show Proxmox's console window properly — that's not something you'd notice right away.

The more you use it, the higher the risk.
This is obviously true but applies to pretty much anything. The more any machine is used, the higher the risk it breaks.
