My daughter got a new phone, and gave her husband her old phone.

She has an Apple Watch she wants to sell, but did not unpair it before changing phones.

What are her options, if any?
[doublepost=1523132369][/doublepost]Okay so I was able to reset it and pair it with her new phone.

Now if she unpairs it using the actual unpair process, will it good be good to go for a new owner?

It actually never fully paired. I have no idea what to do. If anyone has any ideas, I’d appreciate them.

I had done almost all of it - had not removed it from her icloud account. I just did that and I’m seeing if it will let me pair it with my phone now, and, if so, I’ll unpair it and should be good to go.

Activity data will screw up a bit. Specifically, insanely slow to sync for some reason.

Might be unable to do a backup of your watch.

I restored my phone without unpairing the watch a while ago as I did not know that.

The biggest issue is the activation lock. Just go to appleid.apple.com and remove it from the account. You can erase everything off the watch from the watch settings. You'll be good to go then.
