Question...
I have a circa 2012 27" iMac that won't boot up and when it is able to boot up unexpectedly reboots. When trying to put it in safe or recovery mode those modes won't load, all I see is a gray screen. The same thing occurs when using a boot drive. Can't even get in to try and reload OS X.
What are some initial thoughts on the problem? I was thinking it was an issue due to my El Capitan upgrade, but now I'm wondering if it is a HDD or more serious memory type failure. Any thoughts?
Thanks in advance.
