How should I install Leopard? (And Home Mac question)

I'll be getting Leopard this Monday (Australia) and I want to get ready for it.

I've had my Mac for bout a week, so should I do a clean install or overwrite Tiger?

If I do choose to do a clean install all together, I'll back up my games and files (don't have that many) but what about Microsoft Office (Mac). I have the student edition and my sister has used one code and I've used another. I don't want to have to use the last new code when installing Tiger. Is there anyway I can somehow uninstall Office Mac before I get Leopard so I can use the serial number?
