How small can the dock icons go?

Just for the hell of it, I decided to keep minimizing icons to my dock to see how small they could go. So far I’ve just been opening TONS of Finder windows and shrinking them. At some point will it stop working?

Haha yep. I’ve reached the point where I can no longer get to the trash with the mouse.
