How soon can I take advantage of the edu discount?

I'm going to Penn State this fall, and I was wondering when I am eligable to take advantage of the edu discount? Is it when classes start? Or is it when I'm admitted, which would mean I could use it now?

You are eligible to use the education discount as long as you are a current student or have been accepted to a university.

Just use it now and take it away from what you could get with the Edu. next year. It all balances out.

I bought my iBook the summer after senior year of high school with the edu discount at an Apple Store. They just needed to see the acceptance letter I got from my university.

My friend who is in high school just bought an iBook from the Apple Online store and got an education discount just because he's been admitted to college, even though he won't be attending until fall.
