Long story short, I don't have my old MacBook Pro anymore, and need a new one, definitely within the next week. I'm a student currently studying abroad in London, and would really like to get a VAT refund on my purchase since I might return home outside the EU for the holidays, but Apple can only do that at their retail stores and not online.
I'm really interested in the soon-to-be-released 13" retina model. Does anyone have any experience of how soon new computer models appear in retail stores (particularly in the UK) after they are announced?
The best answer I could get searching Google is the day after the announcement, but that was back in 2009 for the first unibody models.
