How soon should I stand in line?

Okay, I live in the Westwood area, and I will go to the Verizon store...
Anyone has a general on how many minutes/hours should I be there before it opens?

Let's see; on original iPhone Launch Day "standing in line was about 6-7 hours for some people" that woke up in front of their local Apple Store after camping out ALL NIGHT, as the line wrapped around the store! Now, the police/security won't let you campout in front of the stores...

It's not a redesigned iPhone 5 so there shouldn't be any more then 10-15 people in line.

Depending on which classes you'll be missing, (some will require a notetaker) and how many iPhone 4S' will be available, so it's a hit and miss situation...

I have 1PM classes, and the store opens up at 8AM. So, if I line up around 6:30AM - 7:30AM would that be possible to get my stuff before 12:30pm...?

The sooner the better. Last year Apple had reservations for the Iphone4. So basically you were guaranteed a phone as long as you had a reservation. This year its strictly pre-order or waiting on line.

Worst advice on this thread. Judging by pre-orders, this is a bigger launch than the iPhone 4. Good luck just showing up at 9.

Wonderful! I live in a high-end area of Seattle, however, I also know there will still be lines.

Yeah man, the earlier the better. I know it's not in your area but I know of at least 5 co-workers who are getting to the Polaris Apple Store around 12:30 am or so. If not a little earlier.

I would have been right out there with them but I got the sense to pre-order and not have to deal with the mess. I've already done a Verizon iPhone 4 line and the iPad 2 line this year, I'm good for the year.

Seriously, I think if you show up around 5am or so you'll be fine.

I get the vibe that the stores will be well stocked this time around, and that most of those who wanted the upgrade have already ordered online.

The only exception is with Sprint, they will gain a lot of new customers tomorrow, if you want to pick one up at a Sprint store, I think you'd be out of luck no matter what you do.
