I am thinking about upgrading to 4.0 beta but I am still not sure if a should really do it because this is my only phone I have.

so....how stable is the iPhone OS 4.0 beta and would you update`?

if yout not a developer you can't

it checks your UID I would also read the thread talking about 4.0 from Developers most of us are not on it. most in this section are 3.1.2 or lower and a few stuck on 3.1.3 that wanna be on 3.1.2 ;)

I am not a developer but my UDID is activated by a developer ;)

oooooh well can't decide :(

Unless you are developing apps then upgrading your iPhone with a beta release is not a good idea. If you cant downgrade the you may be stuck with buggy software until the next release. Wait for the GM.

Some apps are known to crash. Battery life drains a little faster. Some bugs with international keyboard toggles...some wont turn off without fiddling around with it. Places in the Photos app crashes, and thats really all that I've ran into. Its good otherwise, only the new stuff is buggy, not the old stuff. Except some apps.
