How? Starbucks pop-up with wifi join

I'm at my local Starbucks. When I joined the wifi network and web page of sorts popped up automatically asking me to accept the EUA and click accept.

My question is, how is this accomplished? I didn't have any browser running. It must triggered from the router end. I would like to be able to do something like this at work for our guest network. Does anyone know what this feature is called so I can shop around or install/enable it? Thanks.

It' a Lion feature. When Lion detects a wi-fi network with a log-in or gateway page, it will automatically display it in a mini-browser.
