I ma having charging trouble with my ibook G4. It used to charge fine until about a week ago when for no apparent reason i put it to sleep when i came from class which was about 3hrs it was saying 1% from 45% when i left, so i thought it was just one of those things...
I charged it that night, but it wouldnt charge passed 5%, the entire night (which was very strange) and in the morning it was still saying 5% so i unplugged it and went to class and when i got back i used it for the regular 3hrs it runs for but on a 5% charge and when it ran down, i charged but this time it doesn't go passed 0%... it would take say, 12 minutes to charge (its orange) then its green, the icon is saying charged but the percentage is zero??
How often does this happen?? Cause i thought it was the power supply, i bought a new one but the same problem still arises....
My research has lead me to believe its a DC board problem, could it be??
Should i do a PMU?? How successful are they? What should i expect???
If i have to replace the DC board, is it the same as that in any other computer?? What should i be looking for??
