I had an AVI file and tried to drop it into iMovie, that didn't work so I converted it to an NTSC MPG file. I put that into iMovie but everybody says to click on the Share button and go to iDVD but I don't appear to have iDVD on this computer (it's a fairly new Mac Pro). So, how do I go about burning this movie to a DVD?

EDIT: Looks like iDVD is no longer around. So... again, what do I do here? OSX 10.8, iMovie 11

First, contact apple and complain. I keep hoping that if enough people complain, they will notice.

Second, go to google and search for idvd alternatives.

How to burn a video DVD in Burn:
example below uses an .avi file, but it can also be applied to an .mp4 or .mov file

PS: NTSC MPEG is not really a good format and codec, especially when using iMovie. The above method should work fine, or you could connect your Mac to the TV.
