Amazing article! has good point of view... and I really hope the iTunes app on the Mac turns into the portal of the iTunes Store, just like on iOS, and we'll have separate media applications for each of Music, Video, Books, etc...

Me too. It's annoying to always introduce a new version of iTunes when a new iPhone is released.

If iSync was used to sync the iPhone in the first place we're probably still on iTunes 3 (music, TV/film, books), assuming App Store was also separate to begin with.

yeah, I guess..... I mean, iTunes IS starting to feel a little overpacked with everything!
