How to access FTP'ed Files

I temporarily borrowed an iPhone from someone as my old android got whacked. I wanted to transfer music to this device. Since the device I would be having only for short term, i didn't wanted to put iTunes on my laptop, so I searched around and found I could transfer music onto it by using FTP client, which I was able to do successfully.

Now I can see the music inside the FTP app but I can't access it via iTunes, Music or VLC. Is there anyway I can do this ?
