How to access XBMC IPhone Media Player control?

I like to use my iPhone to play videos using the HDMI adapter for the TV.

Has anyone been able to get a remote working to control the IPhone? I have an iPod touch I am trying to use the web remote control the xbmc on the iPhone but I don't think the ports are the same to set it up?

I verified it works using desktop xbmc just not with the iPhone xbmc.
