How to Actually Change the Finder Sidebar Icons?

Based on previous searches, I've been able to change the icons of folders easily by copy/pasting in the "Get Info" panels. However, this doesn't effect the sidebar icons.

Since I've moved all my data off of my boot drive, I have Document, Pictures, etc. folders on a separate drive. It's not as quick to differentiate between the folders in the Finder sidebar without the icons of the original folders. Has anyone been able to successfully change the sidebar icons of user-created folders to the original OS X folder icons?

Hmm... CandyBar allows you to change the sidebar icons for stock folders on OS X like Pictures, Documents, etc. but not for just any folder you put there.

I've managed to change the normal (non-sidebar) icons for the folder, but it doesn't show up any different in the sidebar.

Do you know how many threads there are, just here on MR, reporting problems from messing with icons? Dozens. ...using CandyBar or not. Granted, most of those are from people who really don't know what they're doing, so they come here to ask how to fix things. Good luck with that. IOW, my advice: don't mess with them.

Anyway, could you point out which icons in specific you're referring to?
It is possible to revert all icons - but I just need to know which ones.

Oh it's fine, I just put the old icons back with by copy/pasting in the Get Info panel and it went back to how it was before. I'll just have to deal with boring ol' folder icons in Finder sidebar.
