I have spent quite some time searching for ways to do this, but no joy so far.
At the moment, I have a SmartPlaylist titled 'Music Videos' but, well, it's not the same. I have no idea why Apple decided not to include this option in the iTunes Preference pane. Any ideas anyone?

I wish it was there too. I believe I read somewhere that it was because Apple were considering music videos as an extension of the actual songs and not separate videos and therefore placed them in the Music source list.

I've also resorted to a SP for my music videos.

I don't however know anyway to work around it other then to install an older version of iTunes because at one point there was a music video source list.

I filed a bug report years ago about this, it remains open.

I'd suggest you also file bug reports on it, as it will increase it's priority and hopefully get addressed in an upcoming iTunes release.
