How to add network Canon MF4890dw printer

My new MBA M2 found my Canon wifi MG7100 inkjet instantly, but doesn't see my main printer, a Canon MF4890dw mono laser multifunction unit that is connected to the network via ethernet cable. I am new to Macs so don't understand how or even if this printer can be added. The Mac help screen was not very helpful. Any tips? The Canon support site has Mac drivers for it but the Mac "add printer" dialog doesn't seem to have a place to install printers and drivers manually. Maybe that is somewhere else? BTW i do know the ip address.

OK, getting closer. I see that the drivers are provided as .dmg install packages. Working that now... Printer still not seen so it looks like I may need to enter the ip address or something. Will try that next.
