In getting ready for my iPhone 7 on Friday, I'm wondering how to make sure my original Apple Watch syncs up without any issue. This is what I came up with:
  1. Backup old phone to iCloud and iTunes (can't be too safe)
  2. Eagerly await the FedEx guy with my new iPhone
  3. Do the happy dance that my 7 has arrived
  4. Do an unboxing video that nobody will watch
  5. Immediately put case and screen protector on new phone
  6. Unpair Apple Watch from old phone
  7. Put old phone in Airplane mode (to avoid any data conflicts)
  8. Restore new phone from old phone backup
  9. Wait. Wait. Wait some more until all apps and content are restored.
  10. Pair Watch with new phone
  11. Wait. Wait. Wait some more until all apps and content are restored.
  12. Spend a couple hours with new phone making sure it won't explode.
  13. Wipe and reset old phone.
  14. Adding extra step because 13 is unlucky
Am I missing anything?
