Hiya... Time is sort of running out for me here. I need to figure out how to add text to a photo book project in iphoto. I want to send this as a gift to my father... I chose my initial layout, added pages (in a particular order of photos on a time line) and there isnt alot of text in the layout i chose.

I would love to add text to the photos/pages but cant seem to figure it out.

thanks for any help.

It really depends on the theme (and the version of iPhoto), but most of the time, text can be added below photos by clicking on the 'layout' button, and choosing a template which has space for text below the images.

Let me know what version of iPhoto (iLife 08?), and the book theme you are using if you need more help.

Yeah, that's something I'd like to change in iPhoto.

Right now, you can only have captions in certain layouts in certain themes.

Highlight your page, then click the "Layout" button and see if there's a layout version of that particular page with a caption.

Like so:

adding words

can't you import pics with text already set over the pics as you wish?

bringing in a pdf or photoshop exported file.
