How to add thumbnail image to movie files??

Hi,

Im quite new to Mac and currently running Mountain Lion and was wondering if there is any way to add an image next to the movie files rather than what ever the Mac defaults? I would like to use the DVD cover for example but have failed to find a simple way to do this.......or maybe I'm being simple??

Any help would be sweet!
