Well, a couple of months ago, I decided to clean install Sierra to improve the performance on my 2011 MBA. While that goal was achieved, I found that all message history was ost in the process.

Now, I do have a time machine backup which I could potentially recover from ( will need step by step instruction), and my iPhone still has the message history. Since iPhone has the most up-to-date messages I'd like to append message history from iPhone to Sierra. And if this is not possible, please let me know how to recover from time machine.

Thanks for any help.
