How to archive iTunes library?

I'm trying to get everything in place for a fresh install when Tiger comes out.

My music library is 10.30GB, which is obviously too big for one DVD. I've tried archiving but this has only reduced it to 10.1GB - which hardly seems worth bothering waiting for, so can anyone give me any ideas on how I'm supposed to back this up please
