How to ATV4 and TV Shut Down Together

When putting Apple TV 4 to sleep my LG TV and sound bar will normally follow suite and turn off as well. On occasion the TV won't shut down and will display the TVs default no signal screen saver. Is there any way to insure the TV will shut down when the Apple TV is put to sleep? Seems odd that the TV shutting down in tandem with the Apple TV isn't consistent in my case.

Not sure. I just got my Apple TV 2 days ago and it turns off ball of my devices.

I find with my Panasonic, if I turn the tv on myself (habit), the ATV won't turn it off. I need to use the ATV for both on and off. For a break, I sleep the ATV without bothering to pause play. Seems to work fine, better than trying to resume from a pause, tv responds accordingly.
