I have a desktop set up as my media server. I stream tv, music and videos from that to my laptop running mythtv.
My question is, can i set it up so every time i connect to my home network via laptop, it automatically connects to my shared folders on my desktop computer?
I know i can add it to my login so everytime i turn on the computer it connects, but that isnt very useful. And i want it to detect what network i am on before attempting to connect to the folder, because when i go to school, i dont want it wasting memory trying to connect when i know it wont work.
....does that make sense?
