How to avoid Installing iLife on New Mac?

So I just got a new 11" MacBook Air. Apparently the new computers do not come with iLife preinstalled, but rather the AppStore prompts you with a badge to install them for free.

Seeing as how I have limited hard drive space, and no use for iLife I don't want to install it at all.

Is there any way I can clear the update badge, or remove it from the appstore so it won't keep asking me to install it?

Download and delete. You can reinstall from the App Store if you decide you want it in the future.
