How to Baack up your iphone 3g, after manually adding songs and contacts.

Ok so i added manually my songs using i tunes and i typed all my contacs.

The question is, after manually adding sons if i change my iphone 3g, how i can just sync all back. since i selected few songs (12gb) out of mt 81 gb collection.

The other question after switching iphone i dont wanna retype my contacs, so how i make sure all that is saved on itunes and what i have to do before swiching to make sure is in order

The most important question: Mac or Windows?

If you're on Mac, then use the Contacts, and Mail apps to keep everything synced.

If you're on Windows, there are other solutions. I believe Outlook and Outlook Express can work, but I have no experience there.

I'm not sure if it will sync backwards the first time or not though... Maybe someone else can chime in.
