How to backup Jailbroken iPhone?

Running 3.1.3 on a 3G that is jailbroken and i have a few perks that the jailbreak allows.

Just wondering how can i back this up so incase i need to restore or anything down the road?

I read to use AptBackup and AppBackup? Is that the way to go?

If you want to "backup" your jailbroken apps, then AptBackup should do it. it will backup a list of your apps and then when you restore it will reinstall your apps.
