How to boot from OS X install DVD after hard drive upgrade on Mac Mini

This may be a dumb question. I know that you press the "c" key on a MacBook to boot from DVD. But what about a Mac Mini with wireless keyboard? Does the Mini see the keyboard when there is a NEW drive inside?

I've searched but can't find the answer.

A Mini is a Mac therefore "C" at startup is the answer.
(this has worked on every Mac since the CD-ROM's were put on Macs)

Apple's Bluetooth keyboards should work just fine on the firmware level.

Not sure about the mini, but when I installed on a new HDD on my MacBook I didn't even have to press "c". It just started from the install disk automatically.

If the hard disk is unformatted and the install disk is the only possible startup choice the mini should go ahead and start from it. Otherwise holding c works, even on a BT keyboard.
