Hey, my iMac died but I have an image of the HDD that is a few weeks old (an ISO image of the full HDD which is 500GB). I want to boot from it just so I can copy some data that would be very hard to find simply navigating the file system. How can I boot from it from another mac or possibly fusion? Any help would be greatly appreciated

Can I just extract the image to a HDD formatted in HFS+ and then select it as the boot up disk?
