iPod touch How to break in new touch's battery?

I just got a 16 gig iPod Touch and I was wondering how I should best use it at first.

-Should I turn it on and let it completely die
-Charge it before I use it, then let it die down

try to use it for a little. I know its hard to put it down once you get it. but let it charge overnight and then you should be good. it should be charged when you open it, but a good charge overnight will make it smile.
