how to bring MS Word from old comp onto new Macbook?

Hey friends, how do I safely and effectively transfer MS Office 2004 for Mac from my old iMac onto my new MacBook? Can I just transfer the application? Are there strange folders scattered that I need to transfer too?

Microsoft Office cannot be migrated from one system to another, you have to run the installer from the disc to make sure all the files end up where they should.

I did do this recently. i put the Microsoft Office folder into my public folder (MacBook Pro), accessed it from my macbook and it worked.

As JediMeister said, it's probably easiest to just run the installer again.
