I have an existing app that I'm attempting to bundle for the Mac App Store. It consists of an executable built in another app, a folder of data files, and another folder of additional user content. So far I've created an Xcode 4 project with External Build System template, dragged the project assets into the Navigator, and set Run in the Scheme to the executable for both the Build and Release configurations. If I use Run Without Building, the app runs correctly. However, I cannot archive it for uploading to the app store.

I also have an existing PackageMaker package for installation that I distribute when the product is sold commercially. However, I have no idea how to specify the PackageMaker package as the installer or if that's the right way to do it.

I've spent a lot of time looking up help references in the Organizer, but so many of them refer to Xcode 3.2 instead of Xcode 4. (I'm not a complete dummy about Xcode since I've used 3.2 in the past to do table maintenance on an iOS app that someone else built, but my knowledge is pretty limited.) Is there a template or other help anywhere for what I'm trying to do?

I would also consider paying someone to set up an Xcode project that works for this app. I would use guru.com to create a private project to protect the interests of both parties.
