How to burn 2 hr. hdv in imovie 6 to dvd-r

I have 2 hr. HDV community play shot & edited in iMovie HD 6.0.4. What steps should I use to export and burn to a DVD-R? I have iDVD 7.1.2 and Toast 11.

If you want the dvd to show HD video, you'll have to use Toast, as iDVD only produces standard dvds.

Not sure about getting from iMovie to Toast. Have you tried importing the iMovie file direct, or drag and dropping it. If that doesn't work you'll have to export from iMovie to Quicktime using the Expert Settings to get the best quality result. Unfortunately I can't help you with the settings.

You should be able to send it directly to iDVD from iMovie. 2 hours is the max you can get in there.

I don't have iMovie HD anymore, so I can't give you the steps - check the Help files.
