Hi, I have a cd that is getting scratched quite a lot and I would like to make a back up copy so I can use it in case the original becomes unusable. Its a cd with data etc. What program and how can I make a backup copy on my mac pro, please? Thank you

Open up Disk Utility and create a disk image. (open applications/utilities and select Disk Utility)

Upon opening the application, select the CD from the side menu on the left. Click New Image on the top menu bar.

Don't compress it, though.

Burn it? Again, use Disk Utility. Insert your blank CD and mount the disk image you wish to burn. select it and hit "burn."
