How to buy iPhone 6 when visiting New York in end of september

Hi!

I'm going to visit New York from September 27 for a week. What do you think is the best way ensure I can buy an unlocked iPhone 6 during my visit?

(Presuming it is launched a week before)

It all depends on how much inventory is available. They always have SOME phones available on launch day - whenever that is. How many? Who knows?

He asked for a suggestion and I gave him the most viable. I should have also told him if he wants a new iPhone, do not go to NY.

From what I hear there is going to be a lot of inventory. No matter to me as I get mine delivered. Not waiting in line.
