How to buy no-commitment iphone 5 at apple store?

I've read many threads some people ran into apple stores were able to actually get device-only or no-commitment iphone 5s at full price ($649 and up). So I tried to visit apple store near my area but they gave me a text book answer that they do not offer any no-commitment purchase options at this point.

My question is, how do you get it, or even ask for it?
Just keep ask until you get lucky? please share your experience..


I do have apple giftcard and moreover just rather have it purchased from apple store rather than ebay or craigslist.

If you check online at http://store.apple.com around 10 PM local time, you can buy noncommitment prices assuming you aren't eligible for an upgrade.
