Hello.
My friend purchased a used Macbook Air some time ago. It was never restored and so has all the current applications from the previous owner still installed on it. They recently updated OSX ML and was asked to join iCloud, so they did, they then signed up for 'Find my Mac' as well but that is when disaster struck.
Because the Macbook Air was previously owned, as soon as 'Find My Mac' got a GPS signal the Macbook shutdown (thinking it had been stolen) and now, every time it boots up, it asks for a password.
They have tried emailing the original owner asking for the passcode but they have not replied.
Is there anything that can be done to bypass the password so that the Macbook Air can be used again? Apple Techs (when the Macbook Air was taken there with the problem) said that they could not do anything.
Can anyone help?
Many thanks.
