I'm trying to set it so that all finder folders have to view property 'Snap to grid' enabled... I've done it before, but can't remember how to on my new MBP...

To make it the default for icon view, open a folder in icon view, hit Cmd-J or go to View -> Show View Options. Choose Arrange by: -> Snap to Grid, then click the Use as Defaults button at the bottom (in Tiger and previous, I believe it was instead at the top of the window).

Cheers, I'd completely missed that 'Use as defaults' button!!
