How to change default View Options for all folders?

I know how to change the default view options in the view options toolbar, but that only applies to new folders. Is there a way I can change the default view options for all existing folders?

I found a terminal code that works for Mavericks, but it doesn't work on Yosemite.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Alternatively, is there a way I can fix this without using Terminal?
