How to change drag and drop to move by default?

I move not copy 90% of the time when I am dragging and dropping. Is there any way/utility to change the drag and drop behavior from copy to move without pressing the command?

Are you working with different partitions because the default is to do a move if you're on the same volume.

Hmm. Might be a permissions issue because the default IS to move, not copy, on the same volume. Does this happen with all folders, or only some? all within one user account?

Yes, sounds like a permission problem to me as well. The default action should be "move" but not "copy" in the same partition.

If you want something for cut and paste perhaps you need XtraFinder app, I think.
