How to change FaceTime email

I’m using a different email (not Apple) than the one I use for Apple ID.

How do I use my primary email to show in my FaceTime so people can reach me instead of the Apple ID email?

Logon to appleid.apple.com using your Apple ID. Then add the email address you wish to use (they will send a verification email etc to confirm that you own it) then once done you can change the display address that is used in the FaceTime settings.
