How to change LaTeX distribution?

Hi,

I have a problem with LaTeX on my mac. I installed a MacPort, which depended on some TeX distribution, so it has been installed. Unfortunately the paths used by MacTex has been changed. In the meantime I deinstalled the TeXlive within MacPorts. No I cannot produce any output using TextMate. All I get is an error which sounds like:

warning: Configuration file texmf.cnf not found! I fresh install of MacTex did not change anything. With TeXShop setting documents works thus it seems to get that the install is at /usr/texbin.
