I recorded some interviews for a video podcast, but it was only after that I realised that the cable was a mono cable.
Is there any way within imovie 09 to change it so it comes out of both speakers? I can upgrade to imovie 11 if needed.

Thanks

im not sure how to do this sorry, but edit your title to something like "How to change mono audio to stereo (dual channel) in iMovie" then there is more of a chance a member who knows how to will reply, compared to your one word title :)

Thanks, I was meaning to do that, but forgot before I posted!

Is the audio only coming out of one speaker at the moment then? If a mono track is panned to the centre, it will come out of both left and right speakers.

However supposing the sound is only coming out of the left speaker, you could open the project in Garageband, make a copy of the soundtrack and pan that copy to the far right.

Thanks for the reply.

Yeah, it's only coming out of one speaker. I'm not sure what you mean by panning the audio to the center? I presume that I need to amend something in imovie?

Sorry if the above is stupid!
