Hello people,

I use spreadsheets a bit, and it annoys me, that there is a comma (,) as a thousand seperator, and a dot (.) to separate dollars from cents (or whatever currency..). It's like this:

1,234.56 (in my oppinion, this looks and feels wrong :()

I want it to be:

1.234,56 (this feels more right to me)

I have looked in System Preferences, under International -> Numbers. There it can be seen, but NOT CHANGED!!

Anybody know how I can change this?

Are you using Excel? If so, then it's quite easy to change the number formats. Just go into "Format Cells" and select the most appropriate option (and if there is one, you can create a custom format).

Yes, I use Excel. Thank you for the suggestion, but.. I'd rather change it in the OS. ;)

And now I seem to have solved it.. I couldn't choose Denmark (my country) in region, until I checked the "Show all regions". When I chose Denmark, the number formatting changed to the way I wanted it.

Thanks again for your reply.
