How to change preferred setting between LTE and 3G?

Hello, my phone carrier is Koodo Canada. I used to get LTE on my iPhone 6s+ but for strange reasons, I have been getting 3G for the past few weeks. Somebody suggested switching the preferred network between 3G and LTE. Could you please let me know how to do that? Thanks
