Hi I noticed that when folders from the /users/(username) (for example: downloads) the folder has a unique icon in the sidebar, but looks like a standard icon in finder.

I wanted to do something similar with other icons I have in the sidebar. I changed the icon by ("get info") copy icon and paste it to the new folder. The issue is that this changes the icon in Finder and on the sidebar. Is there anyway to change the icon only on the sidebar and keep the standard icon in finder? Any help will be great.

If there is any program that does this, that'll be great too. Thanks.

I don't believe so. If you change the folder icon, it changes everywhere.

Also, I just checked the Download folder and for me, it has the custom icon in the Dock, Sidebar, and Finder.
