Hi, I´m from Mexico, I'll get my iP 17 PM on 9/24 and I don´t know what to do because I´m using iP 15 PM with SIM card, when I get my new iPhone what should I do to continue receiving phone calls? Do I have to move to eSIM in my iP 15 PM before using the new one?

Thanks in advance.

I dont have much input for you. But as a Tmobile customer based in the US, I recall switching over from sim to eSim via the Tmobile app. It was wizard based, and it was self service. Done within 5 minutes. I hope my experience points you to the right direction.

What I suggest you do is switch the sim to eSim now, before getting the IP17

Ok, thank you so much.
I was wondering if the best option was to move to eSIM in my current iPhone because don´t know if theres is an option to add eSIM in the new iPhone and how is the process

You'll have to check with your carrier what the process is.

Major US carriers tend to have some of the tightest integration with iPhones so the transfer/conversion is quite seamless. Unfortunately, this may not be the case in other parts of the world. Some carriers require you to go in store to switch from physical SIM to eSIM.

It doesn't matter your new iPhone is the only one required to have eSim. Your old iPhone is mostly irrelevant in the deal as it doesn't need to have eSim. Just make sure you hang onto your old iPhone though as you'll need it. Once you turn on your new iPhone for the first time it will tell you it needs to be activated. Assuming you chose a carrier at the time of your purchase, once you click on activate on your new iPhone it will send a message to your old iPhone that you will then have to click on. Once you do that you are all set.

Does your phone carrier support eSIM? If they do you need to contact them to see how they handle the move from a nano-SIM to an eSIM or lookup your question on their web site.
